An allylic side chain is introduced onto a chiral γ-amino-β-ketoamide by a Pd-catalyzed
allylic alkylation. Subsequent ozonolysis and oxidation proceed only with Cbz-protected
ketoamides. The total synthesis of moiramide B is finalized by peptide coupling.
